Objectives of postal network density and minimum offers of services - consultation

On 27 July 2017, ANACOM approved a draft decision on the objectives of postal network density and minimum offers of services, as communicated by CTT - Correios de Portugal (CTT) pursuant to paragraph 5 of Base XV of the Bases of the Universal Postal Service.

ANACOM considers that the objectives and rules governing the density of the postal network and minimum offers of services submitted by CTT do not yet correspond to the needs of users under the terms of the current legal framework as regards indicators and objectives related to postal establishment opening hours and, as such, establishes the objectives and rules governing the density of the postal network and minimum offers of services.

It was further decided to submit this draft decision to the prior hearing of interested parties, pursuant to articles 121 et seq. of Código do Procedimento Administrativo (Administrative Proceeding Code - approved by Decree-Law no. 4/2015 of 7 January), as well as to a consultation of users in accordance with article 6 of Base XV of the Bases of the Universal Postal Service Concession. Under both procedures, interested parties are given a period of 20 working days to comment (comments in writing and in Portuguese).

Comments should therefore be sent, no later than 29 August 2017, by email to densidade-rede-ctt@anacom.ptmailto:densidade-rede-ctt@anacom.pt1. Once the consultation process has been concluded, the contributions received will be made public. Therefore, for the purposes of publication on this website, interested parties should also submit a non-confidential version of their responses excluding items considered confidential.
