Geneva hosted last 11-12 September the second meeting of the working group on drawing up the 2020-2023 Strategic and Financial Plans.
The group analysed responses to the first public consultation which included some questions on the ITU’s future strategy. Note that Portugal had submitted a response to that consultation on behalf of the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT).
Based on those responses, the ITU Secretariat prepared a set of documents meant to serve as the basis for preparing the Union’s strategic and financial plans for the period 2020-2023.
The group thus focused on the vision, mission and strategic objectives of the ITU. The ITU’s contribution to Agenda 2030 for sustainable development was another subject the group considered during the two-day meeting.
