Notification to the European Commission on the wholesale markets for voice call termination on individual mobile networks

By decision of 3 May 2018, ANACOM approved the draft decisions on the wholesale markets for voice call termination in individual mobile networks corresponding to (i) the definition of product markets and geographic markets, assessment of significant market power (SMP) and the imposition, maintenance, amendment or withdrawal of regulatory obligations, and (ii) the specification of the price control obligation of these wholesale markets.

Also approved were the reports of the public consultation to which the respective draft decisions, approved on 18 January 2018https://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1428409, were submitted, under which contributions were received from André Ferreira, MEO – Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia, NOS Comunicações, Vodafone Portugal - Comunicações Pessoais, and União Geral de Consumidores.

In compliance with the applicable procedures, these draft decisions shall be notified to the European Commission, the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC) and the national regulatory authorities of the other Member States of the European Union.
