A television interview with João Cadete de Matos, Chairman of ANACOM, has been aired as part of the "Economia 24" section during the programme “Diário da Manhã” (shown on TVI and TVI24 on 14 August 2018), discussing measures proposed by the Working Group on Forest Fireshttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1454403 to protect electronic communications infrastructure in the event of fires and minimise the loss of communications in such situations.
An update was also given on the reestablishment of communications in Monchique after the fire there between 3 and 10 August.
