ANACOM holds meeting with Commander Nazim Ahmad on the DTT migration process

On 11 March 2020, Paula Meira Lourenço and Sandro Mendonça (Members of the Board of Directors of ANACOM), and Ilda Matos (Press Officer), held a meeting with Nazim Ahmad, the Diplomatic Representative of the Ismaili Imamat, aimed at promoting dissemination, future collaboration and informing the Ismaili Community on the Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) migration process that is currently underway, and which will end in Lisbon on 16 March 2020, with the switchover of the Graça transmitter.

ANACOM promoted this meeting with a view to informing this community on the switchover of the DDT transmitter network, and on the provision of support to the population adopted by ANACOM, namely the free support line (800 102 002), that operates every day between 9h and 22h, to which people can call to clarify doubts and obtain support in retuning their television, as well as the existence of teams in the field that can help with retuning when people are unable to do so with the assistance provided through the telephone line.

It should be recalled that in this process it is not necessary to replace or redirect the antenna, change the TV or set top box, and no-one will need to subscribe to paid television services.
