ANACOM maintains activity

ANACOM continues to carry out its duties, under a remote working from home arrangement, at a time that, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, increasingly more people are at home, and electronic communications are proving to be essential, both for individuals and companies.

In order to be able to continue performing its duties, ANACOM has adopted a Contingency Plan that ensures that its employees can develop their work, mitigating any risks to their health and safety. Thus, the majority of the employees are working remotely from home; meetings, both internal and external, are conducted by telephone or, when necessary, by video conference; face-to-face public attendance services have been closed, as well as the library/documentation centre; and public events have been cancelled.

It has also been established that all communications, notifications and requests for information of ANACOM shall be sent by electronic means (email), being addressed to the legal representatives of the receivers or, where applicable, to their duly accredited agents, and sent to the electronic mail addresses indicated for this purpose by the companies of the sector, under the maintenance of the respective registration in the record.

Therefore, only the activities that involve face-to-face attendance are not being carried out. Furthermore, in-country travel, due to the restrictions to mobility derived from the declaration of the state of emergency, are restricted to those that seek to resolve harmful interference in critical radio communication services, namely emergency and security services.

Thus, we continue to be at your disposal for everything that may be necessary, in which case you should preferably contact us by telephone and electronic means, and we shall continue to meet your requests.

If you need to contact ANACOM, please do so by the email info@anacom.pt or by the free telephone line 800 206 665.
