DTT - ANACOM and Alter do Chão Municipal Council mark the resumption of the migration process

The Chairman of ANACOM, João Cadete de Matos, and the Mayor of Alter do Chão, Francisco Reis, marked the resumption of the migration process for the digital terrestrial television (DTT) network on 12 August. The Alter do Chão transmitter changed frequency at 3:45 pm.

The DTT network is made up of 243 transmitters, of which 64 have already migrated to a new frequency. The remainder will migrate by 18 December.

This process is aimed at freeing up the 700 MHz band, which is needed for the implementation of 5G.
