By determination of 11 March 2004, the Draft Portability Regulations were approved, which establish the principles and rules applicable to portability in the public telephone networks, being compulsory for all companies with portability obligations. This version is based on the rules contained in the operator portability specifications, adopted on 28 June 2001, which were amended or adapted, as necessary, taking into account the experience with the portability implementation since the beginning.
These draft regulations are subject to the regulations procedure foreseen in article 11 of ANACOM Statutes and to the general consultation procedure set out in article 8 of the Electronic Communications Law, for which a deadline of 30 working days was approved.
Thus, this document is available for public consultation until 26 of April 2004. Comments should be sent in writing to ANACOM preferably by e-mail to the address regulamento.portabilidade@anacom.pt.
