The 14th Communications Forum of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP) will be held on 26 June 2024 at the Dr. António Cupertino de Miranda Foundation in Oporto (Avenida da Boavista, 4245, 4100-140 Porto) under the theme “The Sustainable Development Goals and the Communications Sector”, jointly organised by ANACOM and the Association of Communications and Telecommunications Regulators of the CPLP (ARCTEL).
Digitalisation and technological development have led to a paradigm shift in the communications sector. How does this transformation relate to sustainability, to the pursuit of the United Nations 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)?
With digitalisation, we’re witnessing new (tele)working, production and management practices that are more sustainable, less energy-intensive from an environmental point of view and, from a social point of view, better able to reconcile personal and professional life. And to what extent can we guarantee efficient regulation and connectivity between the Portuguese-speaking world?
Attendance is free and open to anyone interested in the topic and in the communications sector, subject to pre-registration by 24 June 2024 and venue capacity.
