30th plenary meeting - Budapest

The 30th plenary session of the European Committee for Postal Regulation (CERP) of the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT) was held on 6-7 May in Budapest. The agenda included presentation of the report on activities of the various CERP committees and working groups, preparation of the Bucharest Congress of the Universal Postal Union (UPU), the report from the CEPT plenary session in Montreux, discussion on CERP reorganisation, the report from the Committee on good regulatory practices (former Pre-Accession Forum), the European Express Association (EEA) presentation on express services and the Federation of European Direct Mail (FEDMA) and PostEurop (PE) presentation on countries soon to be members.

Some 28 member countries took part in the meeting. Besides the UPU, EEA, FEDMA and PR, the European Commission and the European Express Mail Order Trade Association (EMOTA) also attended as observers.
