/ Updated on 19.06.2007

London hosted last 21 May the 11th meeting of the OECD working party on Information Society Indicators (WPIIS), in which Portugal was represented by ANACOM and UMIC.

The meeting saw election of the Secretariat, while Tony Clayton of the United Kingdom was chosen to head the group. General outlines were also determined for the statistical compendium that WPIIS will present at the June 2008 ministerial meeting in Korea - the volunteer delegates group will continue updating the classifications of activities related to information and communication technologies (ICTs). Also announced were the documents that will be submitted to the Information, Computers and Communications Policy (ICCP) Committee for declassification at the October meeting.

The next WPIIS meeting will be held on 29-30 April in Paris.
