Radiocommunication stations identification and signalling regulation - final decision


By determination of 17 December 2008, ANACOM approved the Regulation that lays down rules governing the identification and signalling of radiocommunication stations, as well as the report on the second consultation to which the respective Draft Regulation was submitted, in the scope of which contributions were received from the following bodies: APR, APRITEL, Direcção-Geral do Consumidor (Consumer Directorate), FENACOOP, FCRL, PT Group, Onitelecom, SIRESP, Sonaecom, TMN, UGC and Vodafone.

As a draft technical regulation is at issue, falling within the provisions of Decree-Law no. 58/2000 of 18 April (that establishes the administrative procedure for exchange of information in the field of technical standards and regulations), ANACOM notified the European Commission (EC) of the Regulation, through the Instituto Português da Qualidade (Portuguese Institute for Quality). For this reason its publication and entry into force are suspended until the EC assesses the matter For three months elapse from the date the EC receives the notification, pursuant to article 5, paragraph 1, of the mentioned statutory instrument.
