/ Updated on 18.08.2004

ANACOM launched a public consultation on 2 June 2003 which object was the Fixed Wireless Access - FWA - aiming to habilitate the decision process and to help on the identification of appropriate measures for a FWA sustainable implementation, namely within the scope of the licenses allocated through a public tender in 1999.

By determination of the Board of Directors of 3 May 2004, once the FWA issue was thoroughly studied and taking into account the contributions gathered in the consultation, the public consultation report and the action framework proposal were approved.

Under the terms and in compliance with the provisions contained in articles 20, paragraph 2 and 8 of Law no. 5/2004, of 10 February, the action framework proposal was submitted to the general consultation procedure, the interested parties having 20 working days to give their opinion.

This deadline ended on 1 June 2004.

Under the terms of the consultation procedure adopted by ANACOM on 12.2.2004, this Authority should study all the replies and provide a final document with a reference to all the received replies and a global evaluation reflecting its understanding on the same - this is, therefore, the objective of this document.
