13.7. Mobile trunking service (SMRP)

Notable decisions were taken by ICP-ANACOM in terms of the mobile trunking service, arising from requests put by Repart on amendments to the right of use of frequencies and frequency plan.

On 16 February 2012, ICP-ANACOM determined to amend the right of use held by Repart for operation of this service, as regards cessation of the use of the analogue MPT 1327 system. It was also determined that the total cessation of use of frequencies in relation to the analogue system, and the consequent return of spectrum allocated for this purpose, should occur on 31 March 2012, as requested by the operator.

As regards the frequency plan, and following Repart's request of January 2012 to amend its plan, as allocated pursuant to the right of use for provision of the mobile trunking service (SMRP) (TETRA network), six new channels were allocated to two frequencies and six others replaced.
