Copenhagen hosted last 13-14 April the 10th meeting of project team (PT) 45 of the Frequency Management working group (WG FM). The contents of various draft reports under preparation were developed, per the group’s responsibilities. Two of them, to complete in April 2011, concern spectrum requirements for wireless microphones and the future possibility of radio distribution via eventual platforms for distributing audio broadcasting services. Another, to complete in September 2010, concerns technical parameters for future digital systems in Band II (87.5-108 MHz), which will be a technical supplement for ECC Report 141.
Also, ECC Report 117 (“Technical Criteria and Parameters for the Development of Digital Audio Broadcasting Equipment up to Band I (47-68 MHz) Inclusive”) was revised, with the inclusion of material, among others, on opportunities in Band I to introduce new modulation techniques and information supplied by the administrations on the current status of bands covered by this report (LF, MF, 26 MHz and 47-68 MHz).
The next meeting is scheduled for 29-30 June 2010.
