ANACOM has approved a new quality policy for its laboratories, by determination of 14 November 2007. According to this policy a management system will be implemented in compliance with the requisites of the NP EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard on ''general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories''.
Accordingly, the maintenance accreditation process is initiated for ANACOM's electromagnetic compatibility and radioelectric metrology laboratories through Instituto Português de Acreditação (IPAC) (Portuguese Institute of Accreditation).
