Portugal elected as vice-chair of OECD working party - WPISP


The head of ANACOM’s Communications Security Office, Manuel Pedrosa de Barros, has been elected as vice-chair of the Working Party on Information Security and Privacy (WPISP), part of the OECD’s Committee for Information, Computer and Communications Policy (ICCP).

The candidature of Mr. Barros, which was submitted by ANACOM on 15 February 2007, was supported by the permenent delegation in the OECD and by UMIC, the Agency for the Knowledge Society.

As a result of the elections, which were held at the last WPISP meeting on 12 and 13 March 2007, the Working Party is now directed as follows:

Chair: Australia

Vice Chairs: Canada, United States, Japan, Norway, United kingdom and Portugal.
