Google Labs is developing Google Accessible Search, an internet search tool designed to be particularly useful for blind and visually impaired users.
The service, which is still at an experimental stage, is an alternative to the giant of web searches: google.com. It aims to identify and prioritize search results that have been developed in accordance with the technical requisites of accessibility, specifically those set out in the “Web Content Access Guidelines” of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), which have been followed as a reference for ANACOM, since 2002, in the development of its own website, www.anacom.pt.
