Applicable parameters of quality of service and performance targets


By determination of 14 December 2005, approval was granted to the draft decision on the parameters of quality of service applicable to the provider of the universal service and correspondent performance targets which the universal service provider is bound to comply with, without prejudice to the application on this provider of the quality regulation applicable to the telephone service at a fixed location (Regulation no. 46/2005, published on 14 June).

The document now adopted as draft decision covers issues such as the procedures for provision of information to consumers and to ANACOM, as well as the definition of parameters and targets of quality of service and correspondent measurement methods.

This determination is now subject to the prior hearing of interested parties, pursuant to articles 100 and 101 of the Code of Administrative Procedure, to the general consultation procedure, under article 8 of the mentioned Law no. 5/2004, as well as to the consultation procedures approved by ANACOM, a 30 working-day time limit having been established for this purpose.

The deadline for receiving comments thus ends by 2 February 2006, and such comments should be sent, preferably by email to: qsu@anacom.pt. Upon conclusion of the consultation procedure, the public disclosure of replies received shall take place, at this website, and for this reason interested parties are requested to indicate clearly any confidential particulars.
