2006 Letter-writing competition


Entries are now open for the 2006 Letter-Writing Competition, whose theme this year is: ''I am writing to tell you how the postal service helps me connect with the world''. The competition, which is being organized by ANACOM and CTT - Correios de Portugal with the aim of encouraging letter-writing among young people, is open to Portuguese residents who will be between the ages of 9 and 15 on 31st January 2006.

The writers of the three best letters will be awarded their prizes as part of the World Post Day celebrations on 9th October 2006, while the winning letter will go on to represent Portugal at the 2006 UPU International letter-writing competition for young people.

To enter the competition you need to write a letter in Portuguese on the theme above and send it priority mail (Correio azul) to either Anacom or CTT by 27th February 2006. There will be two age groups in this year's competition: 9-11 and 12-15.
 
Entries should be between 500 and 100 words, and the content should be unedited and recent.
