A deliberation of July 21st 2005 approved the draft decision on the object and form of public disclosure of the conditions of offer and use of electronic communication services.
With the purpose of guaranteeing an equitable and adequate level of information to all electronic communication service users, ANACOM intends to define the form of publication and disclosure of the information referred to in article 47 and article 39, no. 1, paragraph b) of REGICOM (Law no. 5/2004, of February 10th). It also intends to set, for entities that supply services other than telephone services, the minimum information to disclose and publicize and the information content that it considers to be useful for consumers, in order to merge the various paragraphs of no. 2 of article 47 of that Law.
Having in mind the relevance and impact of setting these rules, to market agents, users and subscribers of electronic communication services, this draft decision is subject to the general procedure of consultation mentioned in article 8 of REGICOM. A period of 40 working days was set for all interested parties to comment on the measures that ANACOM intends to adopt in this field.
