UMIC releases Electronic Invoice Guide

The first version of the Electronic Invoice Guide, made to provide information on the process of invoicing dematerialization and seen as an important development factor for electronic commerce in general, was launched under the coordination of UMIC - Agência para a Sociedade do Conhecimento, IP (Knowledge Society Agency).

Starting with the presentation of basic notions on electronic invoicing and related concepts, such as the digital signature, this document includes information regarding the applying national and community legislation and the use of electronic invoicing models, as well as a list of public and private entities with relevant roles in this context. It also provides a terminology and acronym glossary.

The Electronic Invoice Guide is subject to a public consultation period until the end of the current month of March, for contributions leading to its improvement. Later on, a new version will be prepared, taking into account the received contributions. Contributions of the interested parties may be e-mailed, to the address  geral@compras.gov.
