ANACOM approved, by determination of 28 October 2010, the final decision on the amendments to the Reference Ducts Access Offer (RDAO).
Approval was likewise given to the report on the prior hearing and public consultation to which the corresponding draft decision was submitted, following determination of 17 November 2009. As part of this consultation process, besides the European Commission which did not submit any comments, commentary was received from the following entities: Associação dos Operadores de Telecomunicações - APRITEL, Cabovisão, Colt Telecom, Onitelecom, PT Comunicações, SGC AR Telecom, Sonaecom, Vodafone Portugal and ZON TV Cabo.
The amendments involve, among other aspects, the availability of information of an indicative nature, on the Extranet of PT Comunicações, concerning the occupation of ducts in ''areas C'', the reduction in the time to respond to requests for viability assessment in ''areas NC'', the provision of conditions of access to masts and infrastructures for the transition from underground access to over the air, the reduction in the time to schedule the follow-up of urgent interventions, the creation of two new service quality indicators (cable installation service time and duct clearing service time) and changes in the payment conditions concerning compensation for non-compliance with the obligations laid down in the RDAO.
This decision was notified to the European Commission.
