The MOPTC - Ministério das Obras Públicas, Transportes e Comunicações (Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Communications), through the office of the Assistant Secretary of State for SEAOPC - Obras Públicas e das Comunicações (Public Works and Communications) is promoting a public consultation on the Draft Law, which aims at establishing the new legal regime for the provision of postal services in full competition, and is open until 10 January 2011.
The objective is to ensure the transposition in a single instrument of Directive 2008/6/EC of the European Parliament and the Council, of 20 February 2008, implying a change of the whole regulatory framework of the sector in Portugal.
