DTT - consultation on proposed alterations of Mux A frequencies


By determination of 22 December 2010, ANACOM has decided to approve the draft decision to alter a number of the operating channels of Multiplexer A (Mux A) of the Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) service, assigned to PT Comunicações (PTC). At issue, is the substitution of radio channels 61 (790-798 MHz), 64 (814-822 MHz) and 67 (838-846 MHz), assigned to PTC, with channel 60 (782-790 MHz) for the mainland territory, with channel 54 (734-742 MHz) for the Autonomous Region of Madeira and with channels 48 (686-694 MHz), 49 (694-702 MHz) and 55 (742-750 MHz) for the Autonomous Region of the Azores.

This draft decision was submitted to the prior hearing of PTC, as well as to the general consultation procedure, with a period of 15 working days provided for interested parties to respond in both procedures.  As such, comments must be received no later than 17 January 2011, and should preferably be sent by email to "alt.canais.TDT@anacom.pt". It was likewise decided to notify ERC - Entidade Reguladora para a Comunicação Social (Regulatory Authority for the Media), which was given the same period to respond.  Any information considered as confidential should be clearly marked as such in all responses.
