An EMERG (Euro-Mediterranean Regulators Group) workshop was held on 16-17 March in Amman, Jordan, dedicated to the theme topic of "licensing and open markets". Based on the presentation of authorisation/licensing models used in Europe and the Mediterranean countries, the workshop sought to evaluate and understand existing differences between those models, with a view to bringing the systems closer to each other wherever possible.
