The second meeting of co-directors of the Latin American Forum of Telecommunications Regulators (Regulatel) was held last 19-21 October in Cartagena, Colombia, along with a technical seminar comprising meetings of three working groups, on broadband, regulation policies and statistical indicators (SIRTEL).
The meetings served to present conclusions of this year's studies and questionnaires, and to make recommendations for each of the working groups, which should be presented at the Regulatel plenary meeting this 24 November in Barcelona. The initial working plan proposal for 2012 was presented; also debated was the question of post-2012 Regulatel financing. Note that a BEREC-Regulatel-EaP summit will also be held in Barcelona parallel to the plenary session.
