ECC WG FM PT22 - Split

Project team (PT) 22 of the ECC Spectrum Management working group (WG FM), which covers spectrum monitoring, met last 4-7 October in Split at the invitation of the Croatian administration, the Croatian Post and Electronic Communications Agency (HAKOM). A total of 58 delegates attended, with representatives from 28 countries.

Among other subjects, the meeting's agenda focused on the merger with PT1 of the Regulatory Affairs working group (WG RA) due to the ECC reorganisation whereby WG RA was disbanded, the analysis of comments received in the public consultation on draft ECC Recommendation (11)06 on block edge mask compliance measurements and the possibility of creating a report on procedures during major events.

The joint meeting of PT22 and PT1, to be called FM22 - Monitoring and Enforcement, resulted in a proposal for new terms of reference (ToR) and the analysis of ongoing work. The group's chair was given to the current chairman of PT22 and the vice-chair to the chairwoman of the disbanded WG RA PT1. The revision of Recommendation (11)06 on block edge mask compliance measurements was completed and will be forwarded to the Frequency Management working group (WG FM) for final approval. Also examined were results from the measurement campaign requested by WG FM PT46 in the maritime HF bands, whose results can be consulted on the ECC website.

The next meeting of this group, per its new responsibilities, will be held on 27-30 March 2012 in Denmark.
