By determination of 23 March 2012, and in complement to determination of 7 February 2012, ANACOM approved the clarification of two specific aspects of the decision on the conditions and specifications of each of the items which constitute the universal service, in the scope of the process of designating the provider(s) of the electronic communications universal service.
In point 2.1.7, it is clarified that the provision concerned is aimed to retired people and pensioners who are subscribers of a single network line and the whole household income of which does not exceed the national minimum wage.
In point 3.1.2, the reference to the criterion applied in the definition of the set of public pay-phones to be installed and maintained by the co-contracting party in each zone was included. Moreover, it was clarified that for the purpose of compliance with the obligation to install and maintain the set of public pay-phones, the installation of public pay-phones must be carried out, for as long as the contract is valid, on the basis of administrative limits of parishes, set out in the Carta Administrativa Oficial de Portugal (CAOP) of 2011
The republication was also approved, according to the decision of 7 February.
