ITU Centre of Excellence in Africa - activities report


A report has been released on the activities of the Centre of Excellence (CoE) set up by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) for Portuguese and Spanish speaking countries in Africa - a joint initiative between Portugal, Spain and the ITU, launched in 2007 and commencing work in 2008.

The report presents a summary of activities since the establishment of the Centre, with a special focus on the years 2009, 2010 and 2011. The reported budget surplus enables the project to be extended into 2012, with 13 training programmes scheduled.
