World Consumer Rights Day

It is important for ANACOM that all users make informed choices and that they derive maximum benefit from communication services.

In this respect, in the scope of the World Consumer Rights Day, ANACOM has made available through the Consumer Portal a set of questions and answers that reflect the main problems experienced by users in the scope of the cancellation of communication service contracts (fixed and mobile telephone, Internet and/or television).

By providing this information, ANACOM seeks to ensure that users are adequately informed about their rights in the scope of cancellation of services, as well as the means of responding to the operator when things go badly.

The Direção Geral do Consumidor (General Consumer Directorate) marks this day with a set of initiatives, including the disclosure of a leaflet on tattooing - what you should know before having one - drafted together with INFARMED - Autoridade Nacional do Medicamento e Produtos de Saúde, I.P. (the National Authority of Medicines and Health Products).

In order to mark this occasion, the Associação Portuguesa para a Defesa do Consumidor (DECO) - the National Consumer Protection Association - prepared several awareness activities, addressing subjects such as "Financial Literacy", "Change of Gas and Electricity Service Provider", "Budgeting and Saving", "Consumer Rights and Duties" and "Healthy Eating", among others.
