The 15th meeting of the BEREC Board of Regulators was held last 6-7 June in Athens, where the head of the Swedish Post and Telecom Agency (PTS) regulator, Goran Marby, was elected chair for 2014. A number of documents were also approved, particularly on benchmarks; among the issues discussed were international roaming, BEREC's strategy and the holding of a meeting with sector companies. The gathering was preceded by a BEREC workshop held on 5 June, devoted to the topic of 'Challenges in NGN Networks: effective regulation in an NGA environment'.
