In the context of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) taking place in April 2014, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has organised the third edition of the WSIS Project Prizes - awarded to projects successfully developed and implemented in the area of information and communication technology (ICT), particularly within underserved communities.
The competition, with participation open to all, has eighteen possible categories of project themes, all directly linked to the WSIS Action Lines. The deadline for the submission of entries online closes on 1 November 2013.
WSIS Project Prizes 2014 provide winners with an opportunity to showcase information society projects and a chance to have the successful implementation of these projects recognised.
