World Consumer Rights Day

It is one of ANACOM's basic objectives that all users in Portugal are able to make informed choices and get the most out of communication services.

As such, and to mark World Consumer Rights Day on 15 March, ANACOM is publishing a range of information on the most important rights enjoyed by users of voice, Internet and television services. This information will be made available through ANACOM's Consumers' Website - Portal do Consumidor.

By bringing this information to the public, ANACOM is seeking to ensure that consumers are properly informed about their rights and know what action to take when they have problems.

ANACOM is also taking part in the seminar being held to mark the day, on the subject ''From the Right to Information to Safe Consumption'', being organised by Instituto de Administração da Saúde e Assuntos Sociais (Health Administration and Social Affairs Institute) of the Autonomous Region of Madeira. This event is taking place in the Auditorium of Madeira's Instituto de Segurança Social (Social Security Instutute).

Meanwhile, Direção-Geral do Consumidor (Directorate General for the Consumer) will be present at the Lisbon International Tourism Fair (BTL), being held on 15 March at FIL (Parque das Nações, Lisbon), together with the European Consumer Centre, and also at SportExpo - Sport and Leisure Fair, taking place in Lisbon at the Museu da Eletricidade (Electricity Museum).
