By determination of 14 March 2014, ANACOM has approved the draft decision on the prices charged by PT Comunicações (PTC) for the encoding, multiplexing, transport and broadcast of free unrestricted access television channels by digital terrestrial network (DTT) (MUX A). This follows a request for intervention submitted to ANACOM by Rádio e Televisão de Portugal (RTP) for immediate mediation in the determination of the price charged by PTC for these services.
It was decided to submit this draft decision to a hearing of interested parties and to the general consultation procedure laid down in article 8 of Lei das Comunicações Eletrónicas (Electronic Communications Law - Law no. 5/2004 of 10 February, as amended by Law no. 51/2011 of 13 September). Under both procedures, a period of 20 working days has been provided for comments. Responses should be sent no later than 17 April 2014, by email to spd.rtp@anacom.pt 1.
Once the consultation process has been concluded, the contributions received will be made public. Therefore, for the purposes of publication on this website, interested parties should also submit a non-confidential version of their responses excluding items considered confidential.
It was also decided to notify AdC - Autoridade da Concorrência (Competition Authority) as to this draft decision.
