By determination of 15 May 2014, ANACOM has decided not to oppose the entry into force, on 1 June 2014, of the prices proposed for the editorial mail service (newspapers, periodicals and books) presented by CTT - Correios de Portugal (CTT).
Under applicable rules, CTT is required to undertake appropriate steps to disseminate the new prices, a minimum of 10 working days prior to their entry into force, using means which are appropriate to inform users and market segments.
It was further decided that the abolition of the special arrangements for Timor-Leste in provision of the international editorial mail service shall be subject to appropriate disclosure, for users in general and for the respective market segments. The abolition of this special regime can only take effect four months after this disclosure is undertaken.
Finally, it was decided, under the applicable regulatory framework, to seek an opinion from ANACOM's Advisory Council.
