Consultation on the criteria for the formulation of universal postal service pricing

By determination of 1 August 2014, ANACOM has approved a draft decision on the criteria governing the formulation of pricing for the universal postal service provided by CTT - Correios de Portugal (CTT).

It was decided to submit this draft decision to a prior hearing of interested parties, in accordance with articles 100 and 101 of the Código de Procedimento Administrativo (Administrative Proceeding Code), and to the general consultation procedure laid down in article 9 of the Lei Postal (Postal Law - Law no. 17/2012 of 26 April, as amended by Decree-Law no. 160/2013 of 19 November and by Law no. 16/2014 of 4 April). It was also decided to consult organisations representing consumers, pursuant to article 43 of the same Law.

Under these procedures, interested parties are given a maximum period of 20 working days in which to comment.

It was also decided to submit this draft decision to the opinion of the ANACOM's Advisory Council, under the terms of and for the purposes of point c) of article 37 of ANACOM's Statutes.
