Licensing for the Provision of ERMES - THE EUROPEAN RADIO MESSAGE SYSTEM
By determination of the Board of Directors of the Instituto das Comunicações de Portugal (ICP), made under the terms of Decree-Law no. 381-A/97 of December 30https://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=981378, namely the respective articles 3, 21 and 23, the following has been decided:
- The frequency band reserved for the provision of the public use telecommunications service designated ERMES - EUROPEAN RADIO MESSAGE SYSTEM is located between 169.4125 and 169.8125 MHz.
- During 1998, the frequencies to be made available for the provision of ERMES - the EUROPEAN RADIO MESSAGE SYSTEM are as follows:
· 169.425 MHz
· 169.450 MHz
· 169.475 MHz
· 169.500 MHz
· 169.650 MHz
· 169.750 MHz
· 169.775 MHz - The granting of licenses for the provision of ERMES - the EUROPEAN RADIO MESSAGE SYSTEM implies the granting of frequencies in accordance with the full accessibility regime.
- The license granting process, as well as the licenses granted are governed by the regime established by Decree-Law no. 381-A/97 of December 30, as well as by the remaining communications sector legislation.
- The requirements, conditions and modes specifically required for the provision of the service, as well as the procedures to be adopted for the preparation and presentation of the respective request are set forth in the Consultation Document for the Licensing for the Provision of ERMES - the European Radio Message System, which may be purchased at the Public Servicing Office of the ICP's headquarters at Avenida José Malhoa, no. 12, 1070 Lisboa, on working days between 9 AM and 4 PM.
