Public Hearing on the eEurope 2005 Action Plan

A public hearing within the process of review of the eEurope 2005 action plan, took place in Brussels on 6 October 2003, which promoted the debate on the respective implementation objectives and instruments.

The review process is based on a written consultation addressed to the Member States and the European Union (EU) Accession Countries, as well as on an on-line public consultation. The respective questionnaire has been published in the European Commission?s website, in order to gather comments from all stakeholders on the eEurope 2005 Action Plan, which is intended to be appropriate for a Union of 25 Member States.

Following these two consultations, the European Comission will present a report which shall be the basis for a final debate on the review of the eEurope 2005 action plan, which shall take place under the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, during the first half of the year 2004.
