DTT Network monitoring probes

ANACOM's network of probes, comprising 390 probes, installed nationally to provide continuous monitoring of digital terrestrial television (DTT), has entered into full operation. The network will allow ANACOM to monitor the quality of the digital television signal in Portugal, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

This network was set up in order to compile a range of technical indicators and parameters, to give a view of DTT coverage in different locations.

By installing this technological solution, which works autonomously and by remote control, ANACOM now has access to detailed real-time data, which will enable identification of potential problems and permit the diagnosis of anomalies in a fitting and expeditious manner, contributing to an improvement in the service provided to end-users.
