On 28 November 2014, ANACOM signed a bilateral cooperation protocol with the Bureau of Telecommunications Regulation, of the Macao Special Administrative Region, seeking to establish mechanisms for technical cooperation between the two authorities, with the aim of promoting the development of the telecommunications sector in Portugal and in the Macao Special Administrative Region.
The document, which substitutes the protocol signed in 1991, supports strengthened regular exchange of information on trends and developments in the sector, and also supports both parties' development of the regulatory framework.
