The 17th of September marks the end of the 30-day deadline stipulated in article 28 of Decree-Law no. 150/2001 of 7th of May for parties that provided postal services requiring a licence or authorisation at the date the decree came into force (i.e. the 6th of August 2001) to apply to the Instituto das Comunicações de Portugal (ICP) for the respective licence or authorisation.
The concessionaire of the universal postal service, CTT - Correios de Portugal, S.A, should, in accordance with no. 2 of article 26 of the same decree, inform ICP before the 12th of September which unreserved postal services that are not included within the scope of the universal service it provides.
