The Portuguese Committee of URSI has launched a call for papers in the scope of its 9th Congress. Interested parties are invited to submit unpublished scientific papers by 19 October 2015, on the main theme or on defined scientific areas. Papers selected shall be presented at the congress, to be held on 4 December 2015, in Lisbon, under the theme ''5G and the Internet of the future''.
Seeking to encourage young Portuguese authors, ANACOM sponsors the Best Student Paper Award and the Best Student Poster Award, to be awarded respectively to the best paper and best poster presented by students who are both first authors and who make an oral presentation at the congress on the respective paper and poster. Applications must be submitted by 19 October 2015, together with the paper or poster. ANACOM reserves the right to require proof of academic status.
The Portuguese Committee of URSI, sponsored by ANACOM, will also awards the ''ANACOM-URSI Portugal Prize'' to recognise the best research paper in the area of radioelectricity. Applications must be submitted by 26 October 2015.
