Online Dispute Resolution - European Commission


The European Commission (EC) has launched a platform to help consumers and merchants resolve disputes over goods and services purchased online, without going through the courts. The website is free and managed by the EC.

Complaints submitted on this platform are channelled to dispute resolution bodies which have been selected according to quality criteria and are registered with national authorities.

At present, there are around 117 resolution bodies connected to the platform from 17 Member States, including Portugal, while the Commission is working to achieve full coverage of all countries and sectors.
