Brussels hosted last 19 April a BEREC meeting in the scope of the Project Requirement Definition with respect to terminations - terminations of calls from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and revision of the Recommendation on terminations.
The meeting’s agenda included a short workshop on the switch to IP interconnection in the scope of voice call termination (in which the regulators from France, Italy and Spain shared some experiences). It also included the presentation and discussion of preliminary conclusions derived from the regulators’ responses to the questionnaire about how national regulatory authorities treat the termination of calls from outside the EEA.
Finally, the preliminary version of the document that will contain BEREC’s proposed response to the European Commission public consultation on revision of the Recommendation on terminations was discussed.
