The OECD ministerial meeting was held last 21-23 June in Cancun, Mexico, focusing on the topic of ‘The Digital Economy: innovation, growth and social prosperity’. ANACOM participated in discussions on the following issues, among others: economic and social benefits of an open internet; market growth and consumer trust; incentives for digital innovation; digital risks at the level of safety and privacy; convergence of networks and services; internet of things.
The Declaration on Digital Economy was officially adopted at the end of the meeting.
