ANACOM Alerts - reactivation of suspended services


Under the “ANACOM" initiative, launched with the aim of strengthening the information that this authority makes available to consumers on specific sectoral issues, which reflect the main issues raised in the complaints received, the following article was published on 17 March (in Correio da Manhã) and 18 September (in Jornal de Notícias):

Reactivation of suspended services

  • If your communications service is suspended for non-payment of invoices, this should be immediately reinstated after paying the amount in arrears or after having entered into a written agreement for payment with the operator.
  • If immediate reinstatement is not technically possible, the service should be restored within a maximum period of 5 working days.
  • The reinstatement of the service may have a cost that will be reflected in the next invoice.
