CTT - disclosure of information on letter boxes

On 2 February 2017, ANACOM approved a draft decision on the disclosure of information by CTT - Correios de Portugal (CTT) on letter boxes.

Following notification of the final decision, CTT has 45 working days to disclose information about letter boxes located on public roads or in public places where users can deposit items of correspondence in CTT’s postal network (this information is to be kept updated):

a. location (indicating indication of the locality, street name, police number, post code and/or other information to accurately identify its location);

b. time of last collection per day of week;

c. type of delivery/postal service (non-priority mail, priority mail, etc.) that can be deposited.

It was decided to submit the draft decision to a prior hearing of CTT and of users, with stakeholders given a period of 20 working days to respond. Comments should be sent in writing and in Portuguese by email to spd.marcosdecorreio@anacom.ptmailto:spd.marcosdecorreio@anacom.pt1. Once this process has been concluded, the contributions received by ANACOM will be made public. Therefore, respondents should also submit a public version of their contributions for publication on this website, removing any items considered confidential.
