By decision of 26 October 2017, ANACOM has approved addenda to the ITED Manual (3rd edition) and the ITUR Manual (2nd edition), which enshrine the stipulations set out in EU Regulation no. 305/2011 http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=CELEX%3A32011R0305 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 March 2011 (Construction Products Regulation) - regulation which lays down conditions for the marketing of construction products, including telecommunications cables.
With effect from 1 January 2018, these addenda define the minimum classes of fire reaction in cables for the various types of buildings established by EU Commission Delegated Regulation 2016/364 http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=CELEX%3A32016R0364 of the Commission of 1 July 2015, supplementing the Construction Products Regulation as regards classification of fire reaction properties in construction products.
