The 35th meeting of the project team on Future Numbering Issues of the ECC’s WG NaN was held last 10-11 October in Copenhagen, where the attending regulators discussed the latest information regarding numbering, especially the analysis of contributions received during the public consultation on the recommendation concerning eCall service numbering and the decision on short codes of the national numbering plan.
The report on numbering for over-the-top (OTT) services was also completed and a new work item was determined concerning sub-allocation of numbering resources, to be validated by WG NaN so that the group can begin work. At the next WG NaN plenary meeting the two first documents will be proposed for final approval so they can be adopted by the countries. The OTT report will be proposed for public consultation.
The next meeting is scheduled for January 2018 in the Hague (Netherlands).
